‘Flying car’ to take off this year

A company in Boston, US, has developed a ‘flying car’, and is planning to conduct test flights of the vehicle this year.
According to a report in Discovery News, the vehicle, named ‘Transition’, is actually a two-seater airplane that also moonlights as a car.
Though some people are calling it a ‘flying car’, the company designing and selling the vehicle prefers the term “roadable aircraft.”
“It’s probably a concept that people have been dreaming up since there have been airplanes and cars,” said Dick Knapinski with the Experimental Aircraft Association, a aviation group based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
