Asus O!Play HD Media Player HDP-R1/2A Review

The Asus O!Play HD Media player is a new entry in the nascent world of alternative media players. Here I am specifically reviewing the model number HDP-R1/2A. This player is perfect for those people who want to play any kind of media files without going for the file type.  Moreover the output in this media player is delivered in a large-screen High Definition TV with a solid surround sound system. This will be a never before experience for all the dedicated music lovers.

The HDP-R1/2A is of the size of an Apple Mac Mini. But it is a bit more rectangular in shape. The casing is glossy with black colour. You can find two LED indicator lights in the front side of the media player. They indicate the availability of power and storage device. All of the output connectors have been added in the back portion of the media player. These include jacks for Digital audio (SP/DIF), Analog audio/video and a HDMI port.

To your surprise you will find a 100Mbps Ethernet port too. So, this player can access data via LAN. The current price of this Asus O!Play HD Media player is 7,000 Indian Rupees. It’s a great buy but not a replacement of traditional DVD players.
