There are thousands of people in every city of India and world over who leave their WiFi network unsecured and leave themselves to risk of getting into unseen troubles.  The recent WiFi network hacking case of Mr. Kamath  of Kamran Power Control by terrorists is a classic example of how big and serious problem it can create.

So, when terrorism and mafia has spread its wings across world, it becomes very important that we secure our WiFi network and restrict un-authorized access to our computer IPs.

I use BSNL Dataone service and have WiFi router from huawei Zxdsl 531.  So, here is how to secure it.

This month I was surprised to see my Broadband (DataOne) bill exceeding the usual bill amount. I had exceeded the use age by 50% and I was sure that I have not used internet for unusual long time.

So what the reason? First I thought, May be someone knows my password etc and is using my account to surf internet. So, I changed my password and started monitoring if my internet useage reduces.  But this had no effect.

Then I scanned my computer with Antivirus softwares like Kaspersky, Bitdefender free, Avast etc and Antispyware softwares like Spybot Search & Destroy, a-squareed free, AVG Anti Spyware and Spyware terminator.
