Check and Validate IMEI of your Mobile Phone

Validity of IMEI on Mobile handsets can be found by following the steps as under:

• Type the code *#06# on the screen of Mobile handset.
• A 15 digit IMEI number of the handset will appear on the screen.
• SMS the above IMEI number to 57886 (SMS charged at Rs.3/SMS)

  For example, if the IMEI number of your handset is “123456789012345″ , SMS “IMEI 1234578901235” to 57886

• A reply SMS will be received with the Mobile Handset make &model number along with valid or invalid status.

  For example

• Valid IMEI : This IMEI belongs to Nokia Corporation – Nokia 6630.If your mobileis not the above mentioned model, please note that it is illegal to usecloned/duplicate mobile phones

What If your handset doesn’t have a valid IMEI number?

• In case of Mobile Handset with no IMEI number or a invalid IMEI number, you will be required to either buy a new Mobile handset or go to any of the GII ( Genuine IMEI Implant ) outlets
• A GII Outlet cant Implant a valid IMEI number on the Mobile handset through a software.
• Carry the mobile set and yourPhoto Id proof ( Driving Licence/ PAN Card/Voter ID card/Passport etc)
