I am thinking of getting either 26 inch Samsung for 379 or a 32 inch wharfedale which is 300, which one would be best to get?

   Samsung is Worldwide International Brand, made tv by own, even LCD display. ( 26 inc Display panel by S-LCD Korea , a display panel manufactures JV between Samsung-Sony. Sony 26 inc use the same ) Samsung Products ( not only TV ) all in Quality. Samsung and Sony LCD TV is world Top Brand. worth to paid more to enjoy Great Pictures Quality + reliable ! Wharfedate did not made any TV, products OEM from other small TV maker ( mose of them from China ) , use low quality LCD display panel , not in total Quality and not reliable,is cheap, end up you may paid more ( Change the LCD panel in 2/3 years time or keeps sending TV for repair ) .

I recently purchased a Samsung LE32A457 LCD TV from John Lewis, although I have noticed a rather lout and annoying noise, sort of like a crackling or popping noise, which I can hear every couple of minutes.

What is the cause of this? Its only a couple of weeks old..

I also leave it turned on at the mains overnight, but put the TV on stand-by, will this cause any problem or is it perfectly ok?
